As fitness professional and wellness educator, Doris Ward has been recognized as one of Canada’s top health and fitness influencers and named Canfitpro’s Personal Training Specialist of 2018 and a finalist for Fitness Professional of the year in 2019. A passionate entrepreneur with almost two decades of industry experience, she leads with her purpose to help others to heal through mindful movement and helping animals joining them together to build a strong contribution to her community. Doris offers workshops on body acceptance, running and goal setting and specialized yoga classes for trauma, chronic pain management and body acceptance.
Through her personal training, yoga and Pilates classes, workshops and her regular contributions with the national women's’ wellness magazine Optimyz, Doris is a sought-after fitness professional that leads the way for others to feel their best from the inside out. She guides and coaches individuals and groups by providing tools, resources and education to support others to make choices to ultimately take steps towards reaching their goals and develop habits that lead to lifelong overall health and wellness.
She has completed training in Yoga for Trauma, Mindfulness, Life Coaching, Body Image, Peer Support Group Facilitation and Mental Health First Aid.
She has been certified as a Trauma-Informed Yoga Instructor, STOTT Pilates Instructor, Personal Trainer, BOSU Trainer, Schwinn Cycling Instructor, and Group Fitness Instructor.
