This is a time of year where many of us look back to appreciate all they have accomplished. And as I reflect on 2019, I too am reminded of so many great achievements I’ve had as a business and personally. And while all of these are wonderful things to be proud of, what really comes to mind are the people behind them.
Thank you to the Town of Cornwall - Reflecting back over this year I enjoyed partnering with the helpful staff at the Town of Cornwall to bring the community beginner yoga and two specialized yoga classes: yoga for chronic pain management and trauma-informed yoga.
Thank you to my community and partners- I also had the opportunity to be a keynote speaker twice this year, once for the PEI Road Runner Club speaking about the inspiring running community
and then for Fitness New Brunswick’s Personal Training & Fitness Summit to speak about how fitness professionals make a positive difference in our lives. This fall I presented on body acceptance providing tools and strategies to improve body image at Recharge Atlantic Women’s Retreat.
Thank you for the recognition and media- Early this year I was named one of Canada’s top health and fitness influencers for being a leader creating a path to better health for Canadians. Thank you to the editors of Optimyz magazine. Thank you to the Guardian for featuring this national recognition in
an article outlining more details about this list as well as information about my 2018 Personal Training Specialist award. This summer I was recognized as one of Canada’s top fitness professionals of the year at the Canfitpro fitness conference. With gratitude for this industry recognition while at this conference I also took full advantage of the world-class experts during their lectures and sessions on various fitness and wellness topics to expand my knowledge base. I am thankful to the organizers of this falls Recharge Atlantic Women’s retreat where I presented on the important topic of body acceptance providing tools and strategies to improve body image.
